Steven Knous, President
Steve Knous is the founder and president of Flagstone Financial Advisors. With over 30 years in the financial industry, Steve has extensive experience in the areas of investing and financial planning. Before starting Flagstone Financial Advisors in 1999, he worked for 14 years as the Director of Finance and Administration for the Aspen Music Festival and School, where his duties included the fiduciary oversight of its endowment fund investment portfolio. Prior to joining the Aspen Music Festival and School, Steve was employed for six years by the international accounting firm of PriceWaterhouseCoopers in its Denver and Chicago offices, where he served clients in the technology, energy, manufacturing, entertainment, and not-for-profit industries. Steve is a graduate of Illinois State University with bachelors and masters degrees in Accounting.
Marty Knous, Vice President
Marty Knous joined Flagstone Financial Advisors in December 2018. Prior to joining Flagstone, Marty was employed for four years at Anton Collins Mitchell LLP in the Denver office as an Assurance Senior. While employed by ACM, he led financial statement audits of public and private companies in various industries including manufacturing and distribution, energy, financial services and employee benefit plans.
Marty graduated from Fort Lewis College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and a minor in Economics. He is a CFP® professional and holds a license as a certified public accountant.
